POSTDOCTORAL, RESEARCH AND VISITING SCIENTIST POSITIONS
  ATMOSPHERIC AND OCEANIC SCIENCES

In collaboration with NOAA's Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL), the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Program at Princeton University solicits applications to its Postdoctoral Research and Visiting Scientist Program.

The AOS Program and GFDL offer a stimulating environment with significant computational and intellectual resources in which to conduct collaborative or independent research.  We seek applications from new Ph.D.'s, independent researchers and more senior scientists who may need partial support for sabbaticals or short visits.  Postdoctoral and Research Staff  support is typically for a two year period, with a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Applicants will also be considered for other available postdoctoral/research staff positions.

We seek applications in all areas of the climate sciences. This includes research in basic processes in atmospheric and oceanic dynamics; climate dynamics; variability and prediction; atmospheric physics and chemistry; cloud dynamics and convection; boundary layer processes; land-and-sea-ice dynamics, continental hydrology and land processes; physical oceanography; ocean-atmosphere interaction; climate diagnostics and analysis.
