The Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Program of Princeton University invites outstanding undergraduates to apply for a unique summer research
program which provides the opportunity to explore career interests in the
atmospheric and oceanic sciences. Students will work with scientists from
Princeton University and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (NOAA/GFDL) to explore cutting-edge research topics in a state-of-the-art
computing environment.
The expected research may involve theoretical analysis, numerical modeling,
and observational studies covering a wide range of topics, including:
Applicants should fulfill the following requirements:
Students accepted into the program will be provided with paid room on the
university campus and a stipend of $325/week for a nine-to-ten week period
from mid-June to mid-August, 2001. Undegraduate student participants must
be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
